The Role
As part of the international expansion, our client is establishing footprint in Singapore and opening its first store in Orchard Road. The Shop Manager is a newly created position and is a crucial role in launching the business in the country from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers in finding the products they are looking for and provide recommendations based on their needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including product displays and shelves.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, promotions, and current sales trends.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve team goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and replenishing merchandise as needed.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in the alcoholic beverages or luxury goods sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and point-of-sale software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise, as needed.
- Positive attitude and a passion for helping customers.
