The Executive, Development is part of the Development team, which aims to enhance the financial resources of the Singapore Symphony Group. The Executive, Development will contribute to the work of stewarding patrons from philanthropic and corporate organisations and individuals by supporting donor relations and working on events.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Event coordination


Plan and organise fundraising/stewardship events (budgeting, logistics, communications), which includes:

  • Venue sourcing, site recce, and booking of venue
  • Liaise with, and engage musicians and/or speakers where applicable
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favourable terms for the company
  • Manage and support events led by the department by planning and overseeing the end-to-end execution in physical, virtual, and hybrid settings
  • Ensure smooth on-site operations during events through close collaboration with multiple stakeholders and partners
  • Draft/compile simple post-event summaries

Follow up on sponsorship leads and assist in monitoring accounts/entitlements

Assist in any other development, promotional, or publicity events for the company

Undertake any other tasks assigned by the team


Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree holder in Arts/Events Management
  • Relevant internship / work experience in event planning and budgeting and/or in an arts/non-profit environment a plus. Senior Executive position available for highly qualified candidates.
  • Strong communication (written & English) & MS Office proficiency; fluency in other widely used languages is an advantage
  • Excellent organisation, communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills, with a calm and composed demeanour and a customer-service mindset
  • Able to work independently and be a collaborative team player, with a strong sense of pride in the quality of their work
  • Passion for symphonic music and/or the performing arts (preferred)
  • Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends when needed
