Our client is a big player in the commodities industry and has a strong presence in Asia. They are currently seeking to hire a Contracts Specialist who ideally has experience in oil and gas products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle, draft and review in execution of trade contract for: Sales and Purchase (Confidentiality Agreement, Master Agreements, Confirmation Notices, and other agreements), Derivative transaction based on ISDA, Time Charter Party, Credit Support Documents
- Prepare necessary documentation for implementing the transactions mentioned (KYC documents, invoices, internal decision-making documents)
- Maintain and update the Standard Version of the company’s Master Agreement
- Maintain and update the contract database, identifying and addressing discrepancies between Master Agreements
- Review and analyze contractual risks associated with spot ad short-term transactions
- Propose risk mitigation strategies and identify opportunity to maximize contractual flexibility
- Support, collaborate, supervise and coordinate legal work sent to external law firms
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in law, legal studies or related
- At least 2 years experience in handling contracts and documentation for commodities trading
