HR ASSISTANT / HR OFFICER

Job Description

The incumbent must have the competency to perform the following HR activities independently with minimum supervision:

  • Translate HR documents from English to Chinese and from Chinese to English
  • Draft documents and communication notices in Chinese and English
  • Conduct recruitment interviews in Chinese and English
  • Conduct orientation training in Chinese and English
  • Conduct HR policy and procedural training in Chinese and English
  • Conduct exit interviews in Chinese and English
  • Conduct exit clearance in Chinese and English
  • Conduct inspection of foreign workers accommodation
  • Co-ordinate recruitment and selection activities
  • Process work pass application, work pass cancellations, and income tax clearance
  • Perform onboarding activities (including orientation, issuing of uniforms and PPE, etc.)
  • Enter data of new employee into the human resource information systems
  • Update employee data in the human resource information systems
  • Check and verify workers clocking, attendance, and overtime records
  • Process leaves applications, medical claims, expense claims, and overtime claim
  • Process monthly payroll
  • Co-ordinate training and development activities and update training and development records
  • Administer staff benefits, and welfare programs
  • Administer discipline and compliance policy
  • Assist in performance evaluation exercise
  • Assist in organizing safety, welfare, and recreation activities
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports
  • Attend to enquiries from employees

Requirements

  • Must have working knowledge of the Employment Act, Retirement and Re-employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, Child Development Co-Savings Act, Employment Regulations on Part-Time Employees, Children and Young Persons, and Female Workmen, and TAFEP Guidelines
  • Have a Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • Have at least 2 years HR generalist experience in a hi-tech manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate user proficiency in Microsoft Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous, organized, and systematic at work
  • Both a team player and an individual contributor
  • Have a positive personality with “Can Do” attitude
  • Willing to put in overtime work to meet deadlines
