Business Development Manager

A strategic thinker and problem solver, the primary role of the Business Development Manager is to canvas for new business opportunities and generate revenue for the Agency. This begins by first understanding the Agency’s business model and offerings, then the client’s business, and proposing how the Agency can help them market their business effectively. The Business Development Manager also develops and presents creative and strategic business proposals, coordinating the recommended marketing approaches with Project Managers and teams. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for new business onboarding, growing the account, and achieving their given revenue targets. Additionally, they will ensure client satisfaction by making sure that project/campaign objectives are met at the end of the project.


Responsibilities

  • Develop a pipeline of potential clients to expand the Agency’s portfolio.
  • Engage with leads to schedule appointments with prospective and existing clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research on clients, their industries, and competitors.
  • Initiate and cultivate relationships with new and existing clients, engaging with key executives and stakeholders.
  • Respond to Tender opportunities by collaborating with department heads and teams to deliver compelling proposals.
  • Create marketing proposals, offer recommendations, and deliver persuasive sales presentations.
  • Grow the value of accounts brought into the agency by effectively managing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Participate in agency pitches for new clients to showcase agency capabilities and win new business.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets through proactive client engagement and strategic account management.
  • Craft project briefs based on client discussions, outlining their needs, objectives, and project specifics for internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to prepare for presentations and proposals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and clarify processes and technical aspects aligned with project requirements.
  • Generate quotations based on service rate cards and client budgets.


Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of services provided by Brand Management, Marketing, and Advertising agencies.
  • Good business acumen and strong understanding of branding and marketing practices.
  • Familiarity with current trends in digital technologies, including social media, performance marketing, programmatic display advertising, and influencer marketing.
  • Possess either a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a sales-related position within an agency setting.
  • Proven ability to grow accounts brought into the agency.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English. Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent business analytical skills
