We are seeking a highly motivated individual who wishes to grow their career in the logistics and supply chain industries. The Operations Specialist role will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing regional logistics operations, ensuring seamless coordination, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities
Depot Management
- Steer sorting and inspection process standardization to meet quality expectation
- Conduct SOP training and process audit in assigned depot
- Drive smooth and effective turnaround of Goodpack containers with optimum cost management
- Monitor inventory holding in assigned depot to improve fleet utilization rate
- Champion and drive inventory accuracy in assigned Depot.
Import
- Track list of import shipments arriving at port and ensuring documents availability
- Prepare and provide shipping documents to agents / liners
- Liaise with agents on application of custom permits
- Follow-up and resolve all clearance issues
- Ensure system transaction is updated accordingly
Export
- Liaise with depot operator on export requirements
- Ensure system transaction is updated accordingly
- Perform freight booking for export
- Ensure that all shipping documents and permits are processed accordingly, and Bill of Lading is uploaded to system
Local Deliveries
- Maintenance of trucking rates
- Review that cost are correctly included in the system
- Work closely with Order Fulfillment team on order amendment, cancellation or replacement
- Review with Order Fulfillment team to ensure all customers orders are delivered on-time.
- Main contact point of outsourced transporter, bridging the communication with internal (Order Fulfillment team) and external (depot operator) stakeholders
Others
- Work with Regional Operations Executive/Manager to conduct performance review with 3PL vendors
- Develop collaborative relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
- Undertake ad-hoc duties and tasks as and when required
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics with minimum 2 year of relevant working experience.
- This role required regular travel to the warehouse (Tuas).
- Hands-on operational experience particularly in container yard or multi-client warehouse is a plus
- Proficient in troubleshooting with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Outlook and etc.
- Knowledge in OHSAS 18001/SS506, ISO 9001, Lean / Six Sigma will be advantage.
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet time frames.
