Job Summary:
Ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components required for the production process. Responsibilities will revolve around sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production schedules. Collaborate closely with suppliers to build strong relationships, monitor market trends, and drive cost-saving initiatives to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source materials and components required for semiconductor manufacturing processes while ensuring quality standards, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favourable agreements, and manage supplier performance to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand forecasts, and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and innovation within the supply chain.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and alternative supplier evaluation while maintaining quality and reliability standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, planning, engineering, and logistics to ensure alignment of procurement activities with production schedules and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to procurement, quality, ethics, and sustainability.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost optimization through data analysis, process refinement, and technology adoption.
Qualifications:
- Min A levels or Diploma in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within the semiconductor manufacturing industry or a related manufacturing sector.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving cost savings and favourable supplier agreements.
- Proficiency in supply chain management tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, materials, and components is highly desirable.
