The Role:

Head of Corporate Communications, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars (APAC South) (f/m/x)



Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation of the global corporate communications strategy in APAC South: markets covered include India, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, Philippines.
  • Responsible for pro-active design and execution of regional strategic communications plan, ensuring full alignment with regional business strategy and priorities and global communications targets and strategy.
  • Develops all collateral required, including press releases, photography, speeches, press packs and other assets, to support global and regional communications strategy.
  • Tactically utilizes regional press fleet to secure positive media coverage, enhancing regional brand and product appeal.
  • Project manages media events to the highest RR standards, leveraging marketing investment where appropriate.
  • Works with headquarters to ensure appropriate participation in international events and local media drives to maximize brand and product exposure in a relevant way, emphasizing lifestyle elements.
  • Evolves brand perceptions, embedding Rolls-Royce as a true Luxury House, thereby increasing new prospect appeal and generating a positive purchase media environment to facilitate prospects and order intake.
  • Strategically manages and develops agencies to generate positive media coverage, leading to prospects/orders and positive social acceptability.
  • Supports Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Regional Director, regional team and dealer partners regarding client/media facing communications in support of key strategic activities, events and/or objectives.
  • Manages and controls budget for the role and supporting special projects to ensure effective cost control and optimum use of available resource.
  • Strategically supports dealer partners with regular updates on coverage achieved (nationally, regionally, internationally) whether from events, press releases or ad hoc.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest media trends (including online/social media etc) and establishes relationships with key media, ensuring RR is always targeting appropriate media and journalists in the most effective way.
  • Enhances social acceptability for RR in the regional market with relevant key messages and activities.
  • Embraces cross-functional working as essential to ensure comprehensive and efficient delivery of the region’s business requirements.



What should you bring along?

  • Bachelor’s university degree.
  • At least three years’ PR experience with a luxury brand.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in public relations, having maintained direct contact with the most highly influential media throughout.
  • Proven track-record as a successful manager: ability to manage both individuals and teams (including agencies, other external partners), budget management, significant organisational, scheduling and coordination experience.
  • An excellent team player: willingness and ability to provide support wherever necessary to ensure the success of projects and events.
  • An ability to communicate effectively and work productively with a variety of different stakeholders.
  • Strategic insights relating to previous experience which can contribute to overall team development, in particular cross-functional working.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity in CRM Systems (Salesforce)
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of global lifestyle/luxury/business media and direct, personal contact to leading journalists at the relevant outlets.
  • Excellent understanding of social media in a corporate communications context.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
