Responsibilities
- Perform conventional machining operations to repair aircraft engine components using manual lathe, jig bores, milling, grinding and EDM.
- Perform machining dimensional fits & clearance checks per technical manuals.
- Perform various bench repair works such as blending, inserts & broken stud replacement.
- Interpret machining dimensions & understand the requirements from technical blueprints.
- Inspect work using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Assist line supervisor in their daily operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals, and discipline.
- Participate in EH&S, Quality, Ethics and Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by Workshop Engineer/Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum GCE ’O’ Level, NITEC or equivalent.
- Possess National Trade Certificate in Machining (NTC Certificate is mandatory).
- Prior experience in handling conventional machining for horizontal lathe, milling and grinding is required.
- Min 2 years of relevant conventional machining in manual lathe, jig bores, milling and grinding.
- Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).
- Possess high level of integrity and accountability with a strong drive towards Quality.
- Willing to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.
- Relevant aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience is a plus.
