Research Analysts

TAB Global Pte Ltd, headquartered in Singapore with small offices in Beijing, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Manila, is the foremost provider of integrated business intelligence to the financial services industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

TAB Global is an established brand name in the financial services industry, covering the financial services in the Asia Pacific and Africa. The Company's core services include research, publications and organising forums for decision-makers in the industry. In line with our expansion into new market segments and region, we are looking for high-calibre individuals for the following positions.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keeping abreast of the developments taking place in the financial service industry in areas assigned to you, through constant research, interviews and direct interaction with the community;
  • Delivering editorial and research assignments accurately and professionally; this includes initiating interviews, conceptualizing research angles, collating data and producing articles and data infographics that are of high editorial standards, through all publishing media, including but not limited to print, online, social media, multimedia (video production), webinar and events;
  • Assisting in the organization and development of events, trainings and related programmes in the industry, including presenting at some of them and moderating sessions, using knowledge acquired in the course of your work;
  • Building a database of industry practitioners, including bankers and related vendors and service providers who are the customers of the Company;
  • Working closely with your editorial and research peers to ensure that assignments given to you are delivered in a timely manner, within given deadlines.


Core Skills:


We consider the following as the core skills required for the above position, that we assume you possess in order to carry out your duties effectively:

  • Ability to research, collate information and write about the industries and business strategies that are relevant to the Company’s editorial and research products and services from a wide range of formal and informal sources in a high quality manner;
  • Ability to initiate, interact and conduct interviews with a wide range of senior professionals in the industries we cover in a professional manner befitting the standing of this Company in the market place;
  • Ability to organise and project manage your work to a high standard that includes accuracy, timeliness, and quality of work;
  • Ability to make presentations at inhouse and generic conferences organised by the Company or representing the Company at meetings organised by others;
  • Ability to work as a team in the execution of your work.

Key Performance Indicators

For the purposes of your periodic reviews, your performance will be measured by the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):-


  • The number, range and quality of the professionals you interview and interact with in the industry in the course of your work. This is important because we expect all our researchers to actively interact with actual players in the industry;
  • The number and quality of your written output. We expect that you will produce 6-10 high quality research reports annually, or their equivalent, as well as on-going short opinion pieces engendered in the course of your work;
  • The number of projects you have completed in a timely manner managed under your care,
  • Your contribution to the sales and commercial viability of the products given under you care;
  • Your general contribution to the overall well-being and status of the Company in the marketplace.

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognised degree (Masters preferred);
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills is a must;
  • Demonstrate strong aptitude and 2 to 4 years proven work experience as a Research Professional in the financial services;
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to quickly analyse trends in wholesale and transaction banking;
  • Strong skills in the use of statistical, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software;
  • Able to formulate, execute and to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Must be a team-player.
