Responsibilities: You will be an integral part of our institutional catering nutrition management team and your responsibilities include:
- Menu Review: Ensuring menus planned by our chefs adhere to HPB nutrition guidelines.
- Menu Coding: Implementing a color-coded system to clearly identify healthy and less healthy choices.
- Portal Updates: Keeping dining hall menus updated with pictures and detailed descriptions.
- Allergen Planning: Identifying and highlighting allergens for each dish on the menu.
- Team Training: Educating the team on nutrition management, portion control, and allergen management.
- Buffet Audits: Conducting audits on buffet spreads for portion control, aligned with contract and HPB guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Auditing buffet spreads for allergens and quality, emphasizing the reduction of oil and fried foods.
- Nutrition Campaigns: Leading nutrition campaigns and engaging the student community and clients through talks and interactive activities.
- Process Development: Creating and refining processes around nutrition and allergen management, developing training materials, and conducting training sessions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Food Science & Technology.
- Ideally 1-3 years of relevant experience in nutrition or dietetics. However, candidates with strong interest and aptitude in nutrition will also be considered.
- A keen interest and familiarity with both local and international cuisines.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word, Canva and experience with nutrition datasets.
- Exceptional multi-tasking abilities, adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think independently and offer solutions to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with research and data analysis is a significant advantage.
