Job Description:
This is a full time role for a Fleet Manager located in Senoko Drive. Our client is creating a new and sustainable way of supplying fresh fruit and vegetables to Singapore and you'll be responsible for devising and executing fleet management strategies to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This includes managing all logistics aspects, from GPS tracking to vehicle administration and servicing. You will oversee repairs and maintenance by implementing a robust vehicle management system and ensuring compliance with quality control and assurance standards.
You will monitor and update fleet tracking records, maintain proper documentation, and schedule regular vehicle maintenance checkups. Managing drivers and ensuring adherence to company regulations is key, along with evaluating performance metrics to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, you will cultivate relationships with vehicle leasing companies and third-party service providers for long-term partnerships. Recruiting, training, and supervising the delivery team, while providing leadership and guidance, will be crucial for fostering a cohesive and high-performing team. Implementing cost-saving strategies without compromising service quality is also essential.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in logistics, supply-chain management, or a similar discipline
- Prior experience working as a fleet manager, logistics manager or in a similar job role
- Knowledge of fleet servicing, fleet scheduling, fleet analysis, and operations
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- Valid Class 3 driver’s licence is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of the foodservice industry and its current trends
- Proficiency in using computerised fleet management software/tools
- Outstanding analytical, decision-making and leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
