We are looking for a In-house Counsel for our Legal and Compliance function.
Legal Responsibilities:
- Support the legal function for Juniper Biologics in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
- Supporting Head of Legal & Compliance providing legal advice to Juniper Biologics' affiliates and personnel in the designated regions.
- Manage corporate structure and legal documentation to support the organization's growth.
- Support in contractual transactions independently, including NDA, distribution, services, and supply agreements across our markets
- Support in corporate matters
- Stay updated on legal developments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist with document finalization and execution procedures.
- Assist in data privacy requirements
- Support in our IP and trademark registrations.
- Support organizational housekeeping efforts within the APAC Legal & Compliance Department.
- Assist with business development matters, licensing, and other ad-hoc legal issues.
- Maintain the legal and compliance database.
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Support compliance function for Juniper Biologics in our markets
- Enhance business ethics, code of conduct, and anti-corruption policies.
- Support training on global policies and procedures.
- Support compliance monitoring with global policies and regulations, including third-party due diligence and promotional material reviews.
- Manage the Whistleblower Alert Line and support investigations of alleged misconduct.
- Collaborate in identifying compliance risks and advise internal stakeholders accordingly.
- Support in communicating compliance topics and fostering a compliance culture within the organization.
- Support in compliance risk assessments and reports
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Legal & Compliance.
Qualifications:
- Law degree or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in legal and compliance roles (A Must to be in healthcare or pharmaceutical background)
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Some understanding of local industry codes and regulations, as well as anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws
- Some experience in implementing internal policies and supporting compliance-related training
- Professional compliance qualification advantageous
- This role will be based in Singapore
