Responsibilities
• Administering and maintaining RHEL Unix environments for optimal performance and security.
• Managing Red Hat Satellite Server for patch management and configuration.
• Using Ansible Tower to automate tasks and deployments.
• Implementing and maintaining system hardening guidelines.
• Regularly updating and patching systems.
• Responding to and resolving system incidents and issues.
• Managing system changes according to change management protocols.
• Providing on-call support as needed.
• Assisting other teams with Linux/Unix systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Maintaining accurate documentation.
• Preparing reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4-8 years of experience as a RHEL Unix Administrator (VMware experience a plus).
• Strong experience with Ansible.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux system hardening and security best practices.
• Experience in incident and change management.
• Ability to provide 24/7 support as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
• Certifications in RHEL, Ansible, or related technologies.
• Experience in a cloud environment.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.).
