We're seeking an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to drive growth for our retail concept specializing in mobile accessories and lifestyle gadgets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a growth strategy focused on expanding our retail presence and increasing sales;
- Manage both the physical as well as online retail shops’marketing strategies as well as campaigns;
- Identify new market opportunities and conduct research on consumer needs in the mobile accessories and gadget space;
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers in China to ensure a steady flow of innovative products;
- Analyse sales data and market trends to optimize our product mix and pricing strategy;
- Research and analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform product selection and inventory management;
- Work closely with our internal team to streamline the supply chain from China to our retail outlets;
- Set and achieve sales targets, developing action plans to drive sustainable growth;
- Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and performance analyses to senior management;
- Travel to China as needed to manage supplier relationships and oversee quality control;
- Monitor competitor activity and develop strategies to maintain our competitive edge
Requirements:
- Degree from reputable tertiary institution
- Experience in retail
- Keen understanding in mobile and tech accessories trends
- Strong communications and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Chinese business practices
- Proven track record in business development would be advantageous
- Fluency in English and Mandarin would be highly advantageous
