We are seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to join our client’s dynamic team in BAHRAIN, in the Middle East. As a Software Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing software development projects, ensuring successful delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams based in Bahrain.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead software development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and quality standards.
- Define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Coordinate project resources, including developers, designers, and testers.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Technical Understanding:
- Familiarity as a Project Manager leading projects with any of the following front-end and back-end technologies :
- Java (for server-side development)
- Python (for scripting and data processing)
- ReactJS or AngularJS (for front-end development)
- API Gateways
Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical team members.
- Present project updates, status reports, and risks to senior management.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure software quality by overseeing testing processes.
- Address defects and work closely with QA teams.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Proactively address issues that may impact project delivery.
Agile Methodology:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Conduct sprint planning, retrospectives and daily stand-ups.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Software Project Manager
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Industry experience with banking & finance companies is desirable but not essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- A PMP Project Management and/or Scrum Master Certification would be desirable
