A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking for a Principal Investigator to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A*STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.
Job Description:
- Leads conceptual and technical integration of various research studies with focus on Epidemic Preparedness to provide leading edge solutions.
- Conceptualize and create new technologies, patents, and publications.
- Review and manage operating budget of grants and team.
- Establish collaborations, develop scientific proposals and ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
- Manage a team and provide scientific and career mentorship to researchers and students.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Infectious Diseases, Immunology or related field as above.
- Minimum 6 years of post-PhD relevant experience or more.
- Strong background in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Genomics.
- Highly motivated and ability to develop strong research ideas to secure grant and funding.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
