About the Job
§ Develop and execute optimal customer led category strategy, product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising plans for ongoing expansion.
§ Monitor all competitive & industry activities, regarding trends, assortment, marketing, pricing & promotions. Identify & forecast category trends & opportunities before the crowd.
§ Own the category P&L and ensuring the category margin
§ Creating the right product mix for the local market
§ Track and work around key market trends / drivers of categories to identify and act on commercial opportunities
§ Source, build and maintain strong supplier relationships
§ Negotiate favourable trading terms and secure promotional support and advertising spend with suppliers
§ Coordinate with Suppliers, Marketing and Operations to develop promotional campaigns, forecast demand and to secure consistent availability
§ Assist with the onboarding of new suppliers and setting up of promotional campaigns
The Ideal Candidate
ü 10 years’ experience in e-commerce in eCommerce category management, preferably in FMCG or F&B/Retail
ü In-depth understanding of e-commerce and marketing
ü Familiar with local trends in e-commerce/retail
ü Good knowledge of different business function
ü Excellent communication skills
ü Long term strategic mind-set
ü Collaborative and result oriented team leader
ü Proactive and highly organised
ü Good stakeholder management skills
