Job Summary:

The Senior Legal Counsel is responsible for providing strategic legal guidance and support to the company, with a

focus on complex, high-impact matters. This senior-level role partners closely with business leaders to identify and

mitigate legal risks, ensure compliance, and enable the achievement of the company's objectives. The Senior Legal

Counsel serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, contributing to the development and implementation

of legal policies and best practices across the organization.




Key Responsibilities:


 Serve as a strategic business partner, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business

needs, anticipate legal issues, and provide proactive counsel

 Lead the review, negotiation, and drafting of a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements, and

corporate documents to protect the company's interests

 Ensure the company's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including but not

limited to corporate governance, intellectual property, data privacy, and labor laws

 Provide expert legal analysis and advice on complex matters, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures,

joint ventures, and strategic alliances

 Oversee the management of litigation, disputes, and regulatory compliance matters, working closely with

external counsel as needed

 Spearhead the creation and implementation of legal policies, guidelines, and training programs to promote

consistency and mitigate risk across the business

 Stay abreast of emerging legal trends and industry developments, and proactively identify opportunities to

add value to the business

 Manage the company's relationship with external legal counsel, including the selection, oversight, and

performance evaluation of law firms and attorneys


Qualifications:


 Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s)

 10+ years of progressive legal experience, with a strong background in corporate, commercial, and/or

compliance law

 Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal counsel and effectively navigate complex, high-stakes

business situations

 Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate legal concepts

into business-friendly terms

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset

 Proven track record of collaborating across functions and building trusted relationships with business

partners

 Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple

tasks simultaneously

 Commitment to staying up-to-date on evolving legal trends and continuously expanding your legal expertise
