The Client is a key player in the food retail sector responsible for managing the intricate logistics involved in sourcing, storing, and distributing a wide range of food products. They oversee a network that includes suppliers, warehouses, and retail locations, ensuring that products are delivered promptly while maintaining high standards of quality and freshness.
Job Description:
This role sits within the Supply Chain team and involves overseeing the enhancement of current automation capabilities and leading the development of the automation and maintenance team.
Job Scope:
- Oversee the automation maintenance team in conducting maintenance on storage systems, equipment, and packaging machines to ensure continuous operation of the supply chain.
- Manage the automation and maintenance team in maintaining the organisation's logistics and packaging equipment.
- Identify root causes of failures and provide strategic solutions and recommendations.
- Manage the spare parts inventory to ensure accurate supply and demand.
- Ensure automation and continuous projects are ran smoothly and meet business goals.
- Analyze process flows to proactively identify and mitigate bottlenecks, collaborating with operations for contingency planning.
- Effectively manage site budgets to optimize resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or any related discipline is a plus.
- More than 5 years of experience in automation maintenance in an FMCG, Logistics or Retail industry is a plus.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
- Experience in GTP, WCS and WMS is highly advantageous.
- Individuals that are hands-on and strong in communication is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure and has good problem solving skills is a plus.
