Responsibilities:
- Accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, appraising job results, monitoring, coaching, initiating, coordinating, counselling and disciplining employees, enforcing systems, policies and procedures
- Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating correction for problems within process control points, initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orientation, training and developing personal growth opportunities.
- Ensure material usage and inventory accuracy, lead monthly physical inventory verification activities.
- Reports equipment problems to appropriate department.
- Completes production plan by scheduling, assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitor progress, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Supervises production line set-up including testing, adjusting line equipment prior to operation and ensuring production line starts on schedule.
