We are looking for Drafters to work with our team and convert simple designs into technical plans.
Drafter responsibilities include liaising with our team to gather drawings, calculating material and equipment requirements. If you have hands-on experience with computer-aided design (AUTOCAD & Solidworks) we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you’ll help us build functional, secure and well-designed products and structures that meet our needs.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with engineers to gather product designs
- Simple calculation of dimensions, materials needed, duct sizes, air change rate
- Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team
- Identify potential issues and redesign products to improve functionality and save costs
Requirements
- Any level of experience is welcomed
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools is a bonus
- Good math skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Familiar with solidwork and AutoCAD software (Mainly 2D but 3D is good as well)
- Liaising with engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
