About Antina
Founded in 2020, Antina is a JV between Starhub Mobile and M1 and is responsible for the rolling out of the 5G Standalone (SA) Radio Access Network (RAN) in Singapore for the two mobile network operators.
The Standalone 5G (SA) RAN is a game-changing ultra-high speed, low-latency network, and one which will enable new use cases across entertainment, cloud gaming, transportation, education and healthcare. 5G is used across three main types of connected services, including enhanced mobile broadband, mission-critical communications, and the massive IoT.
Non-standalone 5G (NSA) was the first stage of 5G, using a new 5G radio (or 5G NR) access network overlaid on an existing 4G LTE network core. Standalone (SA) 5G uses the 5G NR access network on a brand new 5G network core. Both approaches provide value, but many of the most exciting new features and innovative use cases of 5G can only be realized through a standalone 5G network.
Purpose
The primary role is to manage 3.5GHz/2.1GHz RAN systems in order to meet network performance objectives based on IMDA’S 5G license requirements.
Major duties and Responsibilities of the 5G RAN Planning, Optimization and Network Performance team:
- Co-ordinate and work with StarHub, M1 and System Vendor to deploy the 3.5GHz/2.1GHz RAN equipment to meet acceptance timeline.
- Monitoring of 5G network performance KPI and ability of correlate gNB log analysis with network performance degradation. Able to use KPI stats with 3rd party crowdsource data/drive test logs and propose any network insight/recommendation with the goal of improving network quality performance. Jointly formulating proper corrective actions with StarHub and M1 as part of network quality assurance to meet IMDA 5G QoS requirement.
- To perform 5G end-to-end performance analysis and troubleshooting.
- Develop and oversee monthly network performance and usage reports to ensure compliance with Wholesale and Shareholder Agreement.
- Propose and implement the change requests of any network radio parameters raised by StarHub and M1 including features implementation, as part of network optimization and enhancement efforts.
- Manage and maintain up-to-date 5G radio network site database and tracker for change request form.
- Plan the network evolution roadmap collectively with StarHub and M1 to ensure the 5G RAN stays ahead of competition in implementing the latest technology/capability/feature in a timely manner.
- Plan and organize resiliency audit jointly with StarHub and M1 on 5G RAN systems (including transport network where relevant) to ensure compliance with IMDA 5G license requirement.
- Plan and support 5G network optimization activities for major mass events (e.g. NDP/F1/NYE) jointly with StarHub and M1.
- Jointly developing and evaluating RFx technical requirements with Starhub and M1.
- Liaise with IMDA on 5G Exploratory Platform (5GEP) deployment requirements such as provision of configuration information for 5GEP infrastructure setup and latest patches for equipment and software etc.
Job requirements
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, preferably with specialization in Info-communication or computer engineering or related qualification.
- Possess 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Technical skills:
- Good working knowledge of network measurement post processing/coverage planning/OSS (Nokia NetAct) tools.
- Strong technical knowledge in 5G (SA/NSA) and 4G radio access networks: RF optimization and planning i.e. radio capacity planning, radio interference management.
- Strong understanding of wireless communication systems, specifically 5G architecture, protocols, solutions with excellent data analytics skills (PowerBI, Tableau) coupled with strong proficiency in Microsoft (Excel: Power Query, PowerPivot, Power Point, Word).
- Writing macros in MS Excel and programming (SQL, Python) skills is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferably to have some essential IP networking knowledge.

- Possess good communication skills.
