Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior/Principal Scientist to join our dynamic research team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of new assays and technology platforms aimed at measuring and characterizing novel biomarkers for neurological diseases and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and lead the execution of experiments to develop novel assays for the detection of biomarkers associated with neurological diseases and processes.
· Utilize cutting-edge techniques and technologies to optimize assay sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design overarching project goals aligned with company priorities and timelines.
· Source samples and reagents, establish collaborations, and leverage external resources to drive projects forward efficiently.
· Stay abreast of the latest scientific advancements in the field and incorporate relevant technologies and methodologies into research projects.
· Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders through reports, presentations, and publications.
· Provide scientific expertise and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
Requirements (Qualification, Years of Experience, Knowledge & Skills required)
· Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or related field.
· 5+ years of related experience
· Extensive experience in assay development, particularly in the context of biomarkers for neurological diseases or processes.
· Proficiency in a wide range of laboratory techniques, including but not limited to protein analysis, and molecular biology.
· Demonstrated expertise in the development and optimization of novel technology platforms for biomarker detection.
· Experience with bioinformatics and deploying models for complex biological data analysis.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate experimental data and troubleshoot technical challenges.
· Proven track record of leading and mentoring scientific teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
