Job Description
- Possesses skills in managing a team in terms of know-how and experience level of resources and performance management of team members.
- Leverage team member’s skills or experience to enhance the team’s results.
- Influence and convince customers, team members subcontractors and managers.
- Ensure the overall system strategies are implemented correctly to achieve performance criteria.
- Managing modernization, retrofit and small-scale system project which include various machine/systems such as ASRS, AGV, Robotic Arm, conveyors implementation.
- Assist sales team by providing suitable solutions in terms on control end electrical system during sales proposal and tender.
- Provide internal cost calculation for the control system enhancement, modernization as well as new project implementation.
- Managing electrical & control system installation and commissioning until the customer acceptance stage.
- Perform assessment on control product life cycle and propose the modernization/retrofit of the system for installed based project.
- Developing and designing the PLC and HMI for the machine/systems according to customer specification.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a project schedule. This involves identifying project activities, estimating their durations, determining task dependencies, and creating a timeline for the project.
- Monitoring the schedule throughout the project and adjusting as necessary to keep it on track.
- Responsible for determining and implementing the appropriate installation methods. This could involve researching best practices, consulting with experts, and making informed decisions about the most effective and efficient ways to install project components or deliver project outcomes.
- Managing and monitoring subcontractors by defining their scope of work and ensuring that they perform their tasks in accordance with the project requirements. This includes monitoring subcontractor performance, coordinating their activities, and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder in Electrical or Controls Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years working experience preferably in the Electrical and integration related field, with at least 5 years of commissioning experience within automated material handling systems.
- Possesses experience in intra logistics know-how of manual and / or automated material handling systems.
- Expertise in Automation, Software, supplier components (cranes, conveyors, AGV, and robots) is a must have.
- Proven work experience as a manager
- Communicates openly, effectively and consistently with all stakeholders.
- A teamplayer with strong customer focused.
- Proficiency in English (oral & written) is a must.
- Computer literate with good knowledge in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Willing to travel both domestically and overseas on short notice.
- Independent and able to work under pressure and tight schedules.
