Company operating hours:
- 8.00am – 5.30pm, Monday – Thursday
- 8.00am – 4.00pm, Friday
- Can decide a fixed 3 days work week with supervisor. Most likely is Mon - Wed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent starch analysis and other laboratory analysis
- Able to execute independently starch analysis in terms of physical and application properties
- This will include jet cooking, handsheet marking and reactivity test
- Conduct starch bench marking test with the guidance from supervisor
- Support day-to-day operations of NSPI Technical Center
- Upkeep of laboratory supplies - Source quotations, raise PO and make payment with proper book keeping
- Process sample request from technical service
- Keep track of incoming sample
- Partake in the safety activities of both the lab and the company
- Support new Product Development and application projects
- Setting up lab apparatus
- Keying of data and conduct appropriate data processing
- Conduct basic lab testing independently
- Support any other general administrative duties/ad-hoc projects as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- At least 1 year’s experience in research and development role across various material science applications.
- Minimum a diploma in Material Science / Technology
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Detailed and well organized
- Good team player and strong networking skills
- Able to multitask and independent
