Description
- Performs routine test procedures, automated or manual, in the laboratory with little direct supervision.
- assists in training of new personnel.
- maintains a clean and well organised work area.
- Maintains proper inventory level of all supplies and report any deficiency to the appropriate section manager or the designate.
- Reviews all daily QC results and discuss any problems with the appropriate section manager or the designate.
- Checks the performance of all instruments in the Laboratory and to report any which is not functioning properly.
- Supports flexible staffing requirements in the department and participates in shift duties.
- Complies with all regulatory guidelines, participating in CAP proficiency testing, National proficiency testing and inter Hospital QA programs.
- Participates in a routine maintenance program for instruments and in on-going CME and professional devt programs.
- Develops rapport with all the Laboratory Staffs as well with other Hospital departments.
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time by management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in any science courses
- Min 2 years of Hematology / Specimen / Biochemistry medical technologist exp
- Candidates with more than 5 years of experience / supervisory experience will be considered for senior position
