Job Overview
The Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of projects and ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating between different teams, managing client expectations, and continuously improving delivery processes. The position requires expertise in delivery management of security solutions on Big Data Analytics platform and experience with data protection products.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
- Product Development and Delivery
- Own, develop and deliver modules / elements of the product in collaboration with the team
- Manage the upstream and downstream technical dependencies
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Manage client expectations and ensure clear and consistent communication.
- Conduct regular status meetings with project teams and clients.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, coach, and motivate project team members.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Manage project resource allocation.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Optimise processes to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Plan and conduct appropriate testing along with users to ensure quality of delivery
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to processes.
- Develop and implement best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports.
- Reporting:
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate.
Job Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Project Manager, or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
- Skills:
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
