Your new role
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks for our client in the region, ensuring effective risk management and control
- Develop, review, and maintain all in-house legal documents, including:
>Standard terms and conditions
>Contracts
>Standard forms for internal and external use
>Internal and external publications
>Marketing and publicity materials
- Negotiate and review customer contracts and terms and conditions to achieve optimal business terms with third-party intermediaries or clients.
- Provide legal counsel and support for new and proposed projects, as well as the development of new financial products for our client
- Manage and resolve all litigation related to our client, ensuring effective dispute resolution and minimizing legal risks.
What you'll need to succeed
- LLB degree from a top institution and admission to practice in a Commonwealth jurisdiction (including Singapore).
- 10+ years of experience in a financial institution or law firm, with expertise in capital markets, securities, and derivatives.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws (e.g., Securities Futures Act, Financial Advisers Act).
- Self-motivated and collaborative with excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, interact with stakeholders, and provide accurate recommendations.
- Prior experience in capital markets, prime brokerage, and derivatives is a plus.
- Proven ability to distill complex legal issues, develop effective solutions, and minimize risk exposure.
