Our client a well-known Indian funds company is hiring a VP, Compliance Manager to assist management in maintaining compliance frameworks and staying updated on regulatory requirements in Singapore and other relevant jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and update the Firm’s policies/procedures.
- Participate in committees/Board meetings and coordinate with auditors, lawyers, and consultants.
- Handle day-to-day compliance activities: regulatory liaison, submissions/filings, audit support, compliance registers, and financial/product approvals.
- Provide training and expert advice to the fund management team on regulatory requirements and risk management.
- Perform due diligence on clients/investors and service providers, and conduct transaction monitoring.
- Carry out compliance monitoring, report to management, and implement corrective actions.
- Work on new projects: regulatory license applications, compliance advisory for business expansion, and advising on Singapore regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of AML, KYC, conduct of business rules, asset management, and fund structures is required; willingness to learn on the job is essential.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Regulatory Compliance background
- Preference with Fund Management experience.
