Role & Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead technology projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication on project status, risks, and issues.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of project managers, developers, and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans for potential challenges.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, implementing best practices for software development and project management.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring delivery within financial constraints, and report on budget performance.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, manage contracts, and ensure vendor deliverables meet project requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes by implementing lessons learned and best practices.
- Global Collaboration: Work with global Agile and DevOps teams to ensure successful delivery of APAC regional solutions.
- Technical Innovation: Liaise between enterprise and program technical leaders, implementing and propagating innovation and best practices.
- Communication & Coordination: Lead and coordinate routines to support delivery, manage dependencies across teams and time zones, and facilitate collaboration.
- Status Reporting: Provide status updates to stakeholders on delivery, risks, issues, and schedule.
- Resource Planning: Support resource planning for delivery and execution.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with Enterprise Change Management standards.
Skills / Requirements
- Languages: Proficiency in English & Chinese (verbal, read and write) in both Simplified and Traditional Chinese as the Project is based in Taiwan and China - required to speak with local stakeholders and vendors in both countries, reviewing contract and SLA.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the banking technology sector. Experience in payment and clearing is highly advantageous.
- Experience: Preferred experience in managing projects in China/Taiwan and running multi-million-dollar initiatives, particularly regulatory projects.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency with project management tools like Jira and MS Project.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the ability to analyze project data and make informed decisions.
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of technical architecture, Agile software development methodology, online treasury payments, and liquidity development.
- Leadership: Experience leading projects with direct reports and collaborating with external programmers and global initiative technology managers.
- Preferred Skills: Understanding of application infrastructure setup, containerization, and application management.
