TransFingo Aviation Solutions (TAS) helps airlines and MRO companies to optimize aircraft inventory holding cost while reducing aircraft/component down time and without compromising airworthiness quality. Led by a team who has proven track record in aviation industry, we also provide advisory services to assist clients for various needs. We are looking for a middleware engineer who has minimum 12 years of experience in Middleware technologies including WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, Cloudera Kafka, Rabbit MQ, JBOSS EAP, Tomcat, AWS, and DevOps tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, design and implement projects involving the various Messaging Technology products and various RTO requirements
- Provide Level 3 Operations Support for Messaging Services team, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Installing, Upgrading, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting IBM WebSphere Application Server, Oracle WebLogic Server, IBM HTTP Server, WebSphere MQ and JBOSS EAP,
- Apache httpd server on Linux/Windows/AIX/Solaris.
- Understand existing deployments, usage of Messaging Technology products and assist in infrastructure migration, version upgrade projects, patching and currency.
- Creating KDB, JKS files, generation CSR for VeriSign Certificates and configured for Apache, IBM Http Server, WAS, WebLogic, JBOSS, WebSphere MQ
- Work closely with Application Support teams to understand their usage of Messaging products and plan/document the necessary changes required for Application migrations and identify any current gaps in implementation
- Automation of application failovers, site switches and DR failovers
Requirements
- Minimum Education requirement: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Sound understanding and working experience with messaging software (TIBCO EMS/RV, IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka etc.)
- Strong understanding of networks (TCP, UDP, Multicast etc.)
- Hands on deploying Enterprise Application Archive (EAR), Web Application Archive (WAR) in DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD and DR environments.
- Troubleshoot and support middleware in Linux & Solaris OS.
- Understanding of monitoring software (Tivoli, ITRS, etc.) and various monitoring situations.
- Experience with any programming language (C/C++, .NET, Java/J2EE, Python etc.)
- Knowledge in the design, build and implementation of Kafka based event streaming systems with Azure, AWS and Kubernetes.
- System engineering knowledge is a plus e.g. VMWare, SAN, Linux, Red Hat Clustering, Data Replication technologies
- Ability to perform at the highest level under pressure is essential.
- Attention to detail when designing, building, implementing and operationally supporting messaging infrastructure
- Understanding of Network protocols, multicast communications.
- Good Shell/Python/Perl scripting and UNIX command line skills.
- Critical problem solving skills and ability to automate repeating tasks.
- Understanding of low latency trading systems and payments systems.
- Experience in designing, building and supporting 24/7 infrastructures
- Certifications which are mandatory (Certified Kubernetes Administrator CKA, Microsoft Azure Administrator, AWS Solution Architect and Solace Certified SCSC)
