We are currently seeking an FF&E Designer with a good eye for colours, finishes and designs, to work on large-scale hospitality and residential projects both local and overseas:-
- The applicant must have an Arts and/or Design background (Fine Arts / Architecture / Interior Design, with at least 5 years's of relevant experience in the industry).
- The applicant must likewise possess excellent organisational skills, administrative skills, communication skills and should have a comprehensive knowledge of key suppliers for the field.
- Work with the Principal Designer in concept development and interior layout which will satisfy the requirements of our clients.
- Space planning, furniture, color and material selections.
- Liaise with consultants to acquire relevant information and for coordination of design documents.
- Able to decide selections of material alternatives given by consultants/contractors and still maintain the design concept intact.
- Prepare presentation boards, specification books and materials sample sets.
- Experience in management of furnishing fabrications, and a basic understandings of the ID construction industry.
- A background in FFE procurement.
- Ability to accurately define project requirements, and assess supplier proposals accordingly.
- Competent prioritization of project demands to ensure submittals are delivered on time, and likewise to plan within agreed budgets and time.
- Must have a strong background in detailed FFE and architectural specs documentations.
- Being able to produce furniture shop drawings in CAD and hand sketches a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCad and Adobe programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and enabling him/her to form strong working relationships.
