What Will You Do:
- To coordinate the importation process for vehicles, including preparing and submitting import documentation to relevant authorities.
- To liaise with clients like 3rd party companies, customs agents, and government agencies to ensure timely clearance of imported vehicles.
- To do verification on import documents to ensure accuracy and completeness, including invoices, bill of lading, and import permits.
- To liaise with suppliers to track shipments and resolve any issues or delays.
- To update import records and maintain documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- To work with the internal departments to ensure seamless integration of imported vehicles into inventory.
- To assist with customs clearance procedures, including tariff classification, valuation, and duty calculations.
- To handle inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding import procedures, documentation requirements, and shipment status.
- To keep up to date with changes in import regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- To support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline import processes and enhance efficiency.
What Do You Need:
- Must have at least a Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in import/export operations, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Must be familiar with the import procedures and customs regulations in Singapore, including HS codes, GST, and customs documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in using import-related software and systems, such as TradeNet and customs declaration platforms.
