Expected Results:
- Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls,calibrates and tests a wide variety of industrial instrumentation and gauging systems that measure,record, indicate, control and regulate level, flow, pressure, temperature, and water analysis.
- Maintain the plants PLC, instrumentation, and controls systems to ensure production processes are capable of safely delivering a quality product.
- Ensure proper maintenance and update of electrical and automation systems and documentation supporting plant activities
- Troubleshooting control system issues.
- Specify instruments and I/O control systems for our capital projects. Create or modify existing HMI screens.
Supporting Activities:
- Must respond to after hour’s phone calls and fix failed equipment.
- Cross-train on other Specialist positions
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Production and Technical teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions to daily issues.
- Actively participate on assigned project teams.Identify project risks and opportunities to improve. Demonstrate an active approach with a willingness to get involved in order to maintain schedules.
- Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, schematic diagrams and specifications in making installations or performing major repair work
- Provide I/O addresses and PID’s to contract controls engineering partner. Partner with them to ensure code is developed which meets project expectations.
- Review control related drawings.
- Work safely around and appropriately handles hazardous chemicals around plant.
- Conduct routine 5S at maintenance workshop, store, substations, and work area at site.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on plant-wide electrical and instrumentation systems. Installation, Configuration, calibration and troubleshooting of PT, DPT, LT, TT and Mass flow meter.
- Conduct of inspection, testing and repair of commissioning equipment on Instrument system, control, and component under the maintenance team.
- Condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of critical instruments and take corrective actions to avoid breakdown.
- Timely close all work orders assigned by supervisor in CMMS.
- Coordinate and liaise with contractors in supervision of statutory equipment inspection and testing at site.
- Monitor plant and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned and unplanned maintenance.
Required Prior Accomplishments, Experience, Skills:
- Diploma in Control & Instrumentation or equivalent is an advantage.
- 4 years of Instrumentation/Gauging/Controls/Electronics experience desired.
- Experience with HART protocol; batching systems; mass flow meters; control valves and load cells.
- Familiarity with RSView32, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, and Panelview software applications preferred.
- Team player that makes a positive difference.
- Experience with specification/implementation of process instrumentation required.
- Experience in chemical, dairy, and/or food processing facilities a plus.

- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and CMMS experience a plus.
- Must be familiar with test equipment like Multimeter, Loop calibrator, Pressure calibrator etc.
