The duties of the WSH Coordinator shall be to:
(a) assist the occupier of the worksite to identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice which is carried out in the worksite;
(b) recommend to the occupier of the worksite to implement such reasonably practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition or unsafe work practice;
(c) assist the occupier of the worksite to implement such reasonably practicable measures
Prior Experience :
The WSH Coordinator shall have about 3 (three) years of practical experience relevant to the work to be performed by a WSH Coordinator/WSH Officer in works of Used Water Projects
Roles and Responsibilities :
Conduct daily checks to ensure compliance with safe working practices and conditions at the project site.
Provide recommendations to address unsafe conditions or practices identified at the worksite.
Assist in the implementation of measures to remedy unsafe conditions or practices, in consultation with the site occupier.
Identify and assess foreseeable risks arising from the worksite or work processes.
Recommend reasonably practicable measures to eliminate or minimize risks to persons working at the site or affected by the worksite activities.
Assist in the implementation of measures and safe work procedures to control risks, where elimination is not reasonably practicable.
Ensure presence at the project site during normal working hours and whenever work is in progress outside normal hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Coordinate with the site occupier and other relevant parties to ensure the effective implementation of safety measures.
Maintain records of safety checks, recommendations, and actions taken to address safety concerns.
Ensure that copies of relevant certificates are submitted to the Site Officer before the commencement of work.
Provide support and assistance to cover duties during the absence of the WSH Coordinator/Officer, ensuring continuous safety management.
Collaborate with other safety personnel such as confined space safety assessors and attendants as required for the project.
