The Implementation Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the integration and implementation of Liquid Group’s products with wallet issuers, banks, national payments networks, acquirers, banks, schemes, vendors, key clients and service providers (“collectively named as “Partners”). This role will focus on streamlining implementation processes to ensure efficient project delivery, problems resolution for all payment channels, and escalation of issues to the correct department for resolution plan.


Key Responsibilities


Product Ownership, Solutioning and Documentation:

  • Assess new products and potential partners solutions to measure their potential value
  • Look into competitors and conduct capability analyses regularly
  • Involved in the implementation of strategic plans for new program requirements and design solutions
  • Analyze and define product solutions based on business requirements from commercial and product teams
  • Review the designs of API enhancements. Manage tech specs documentation and product documentation in Confluence
  • Generate BRD (Business Requirement Documents) and work with Technical Product Manager / Head of Software Development to ensure the requirements are translated into PRD (Product Requirement Documents) and actionable user stories in Jira
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of PRDs and specifications developed by Tech Product Manager
  • Establish and maintain of products documentation and processes
  • Conduct requirement clarification sessions with development and QA teams

Project Implementation and Management:

  • Oversee project management of integration projects with solutions / tech partners, banks, schemes and vendors
  • Communicate with tech partners and vendors to design and understand integration efforts
  • Plan and conduct sprint planning with the development team
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and manage project risks and issues.
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of integration projects and new product enhancements deliverables
  • Prioritize projects and sprints from backlogs

Partner Integration:

  • Lead initial workshops and pre-sales meetings to understand tech and integration requirements
  • Communicate with partners and vendors to design and manage integration efforts
  • Review integration specifications and PRDs for all partners

Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee partners User Acceptance and Production Tests processes and ensure go-to-market timelines are met
  • Stand in as additional QA for testing developed functionalities
  • Able to do postmortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity

Operational Support:

  • Ensure production configurations for new clients and partner accounts are set up correctly across Liquid’s relevant platforms
  • Oversee the integration and accounts set up process are successfully delivered by the Customer Success team, Client Services Team and Merchant Support teams for clients and partners
  • Oversee Fault resolution - Drive root cause analysis/corrective action process to ensure efficient service levels is in place from tech, operations and customer success teams.
  • Ensure the proper short/medium/long-term resolution plans are generated with preventive measures and mitigation processes in place

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the Operations team for Level 2 support tasks
  • Coordinate with the DevOps team for L3 support and SME Developers for L4 support
  • Align with the Head of Operations to differentiate and manage client implementation and integration processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree, Project Management certification or relevant certification is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role (e.g., Business Analyst, Technical Product Manager, Project Manager) and in a payment industry
  • Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale technical integration projects
  • Experience with payment systems, banking platforms and fintech integrations preferred
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other project management software an advantage
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance in the payment sector
  • Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology to generate business value and facilitate technical excellence
  • Excellent project management skills, with demonstrable expertise in Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc
  • Deep understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.) to analyze and improve sprint planning
  • Possess relevant IT system implementation knowledge
  • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Possess strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-oriented mindset, complemented by creative and analytical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
