Qashier is looking for an amazing Compliance Manager to support our growth!
We are a dynamic and fast growing team that is excited about commerce, retail and payments, and the opportunity to transform these industries with data and technology.
We are looking for a passionate individual that can oversee Qashier’s compliance programme for our Payments division. This is an exciting regional role with oversight on compliance matters across our regional markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of end-to-end compliance matters for the Payments division including merchant onboarding/KYC, transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting
- Lead payment license applications and regulatory approvals for our key markets across Southeast Asia
- Strengthening the compliance framework for the business, including compliance policies, procedures and guidelines and communicating these policies to all relevant stakeholders
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the regulatory requirements and ensuring any developments and changes are incorporated into procedures and practices as appropriate
- Oversee daily operations of KYC/CDD and AML/CTF checks, and ensuring policies and standards and implemented and adhered
- Provide regulatory training to all employees on relevant regulatory and legislative requirements and the maintenance of training records
Requirements:
- 4+ years of compliance/legal experience in Fintech or payment startups
- Degree in law, management, accountancy and/or compliance related qualifications
- Up to date knowledge and familiarity on regulatory and compliance requirements including PCI DSS and Payment Services Act etc
- Regional compliance experience across multiple markets in Southeast Asia is a strong plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong focus on execution
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and relationship building abilities
- Strong leadership, decision making and project management skills
- Ability to take a pragmatic, commercial approach to legal and compliance whilst achieving desired business outcomes
