The Account Director grows new and existing client relationships and revenues through the effective delivery of Jack offerings, working with members of the office’s senior leadership team and serving as a trusted advisor to the client.


What you’ll be doing

Growing key accounts and new business

  • Lead new business opportunities through internal process: qualifying opportunities, lead/oversee pitch process, own pitch deliverables
  • Grow existing client revenue and oversee client profitability, resulting in year-over-year growth
  • The role requires an understanding of clients’ business and business issues and to act as an executive-level advisor, anticipating long-term needs.
  • The role requires leading and delivering new and organic business efforts including RFI, RFQ and RFPs for new and existing clients.
  • The role requires leading office efforts to pursue and win new clients and convert warm leads and opportunities into established accounts.
  • Identify internal partnership opportunities within Jack or IPG network and manage partner deliverables
  • Develop award submissions and case studies


Client management

  • Day to day client lead, responsible for project process from planning to creative through execution
  • Develop solutions that leverage agency offerings and are mutually beneficial for the client and the agency
  • Understand clients’ business and business issues and serve as a trusted advisor to drive effective solutions
  • Develop, write and present project proposals, scopes of work, schedules and staffing plans for new and existing clients
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client needs are listened to, understood and responded to in a timely way
  • Ensure clear communication to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, schedules and project status/action items
  • Partner with Strategy to develop and implement measurement metrics
  • Accountable for fiscal health of account(s) and overall revenue, and growth
  • Oversee collaboration of multi-disciplinary internal teams
  • Ensure that brief is developed to set the stage for strategy development
  • Collaborate with Strategy and Creative to ensure all agency solutions address the business need
  • Contribute new ideas in creative brainstorms to generate ideas for clients, represent client interests and clearly communicate to internal team
  • Be a champion of extraordinary work – by providing inspiration, leadership and expertise in the agency’s offerings
  • Exceed expectations with the overall quality of the work (ideas and impact), yielding recognition from the industry, award shows and our clients


Internal team management

  • Ensure regular team meetings and manage communications between team members, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Coach and oversee junior team members on execution of all individual job details
  • Develop talent of junior team by providing challenging assignments and ongoing constructive feedback


What you’ll need

  • Sales drive. You’ll persist despite challenges and have a long-term strategy. You’ll develop several relationships within a client organisation to foster partnership.
  • Organisational sophistication. You understand group dynamics underlying client and colleague behaviour including decision-making authority and processes.
  • Influencing others. You work with others to influence the outcome of an event including employing chains of indirect influence and adapting each method to the audience and context.
  • Collaboration. You lead/facilitate collaboration among internal and client teams and inspire and drive a spirit of teamwork. You are able to anticipate and resolve team challenges and clearly communicate understanding of client objective and goals to internal teams.


Recommended years of experience: 8+ years
