Job Description:
- Prepare, review, and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans for construction projects, focusing on diaphragm wall, foundation works, and civil engineering projects.
- Monitor project financial performance by tracking costs, expenditures, and variations against budgeted amounts.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for potential construction projects to assess financial viability.
- Collaborate with project teams to prepare tender documents, contracts, and procurement schedules.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and comprehensive cost reports for review by senior management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Prepare contractual correspondence with the Project Manager, submitting claims notices promptly according to contractual timetables.
- Prepare and submit payment applications on schedule, actively following up to promote certification and payment, and ensure timely submission and agreement of final accounts.
- Manage issuance of works orders for subcontractors, oversee monthly payments, and reconcile final accounts with subcontractors.
- Compile monthly sales figures for Project Manager review and report on monthly subcontractor liabilities.
- Ensure accurate measurement of works to maximize entitlements and comply with contractual requirements.
- Promptly notify and submit insurance claims, ensuring timely submission of claim particulars.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in Singapore Construction Industry, with the Main Contractor preferred.
- Proven track record in managing project costs, budgets, and financial reporting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and tendering processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents and financial data.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability to changing project requirements and deadlines.
