Purpose of the Role:

The incumbent (Assistant Manager, Communications and Marketing) focuses on understanding the social services landscape in Singapore and must ensure the effective and consistent delivery of services. The incumbent ensures that the strategic direction is executed across all services within their purview. He/She also assesses the service gaps in the community and proposes new services and/or projects that would meet the evolving needs of the disadvantaged and underserved in the community.

He/she ensures that the services are working in conformance with the strategic direction set by senior management, the agency policies and procedures and the public law. Together with the other department Heads, the incumbent aligns the services’ development and plans according to the organisation’s overall strategic direction. The incumbent also works with the team to develop achievable milestones. To achieve the milestones, the incumbent may at times deploy the organisation’s other resources.

Together with the other department heads, and team members, he/she implements the framework to increase the organization’s credibility, improve work processes and efficiencies and deliver good outcomes for the clients, donors and stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and driving the strategies for all communications and marketing activities for the charity.

• Engage with corporations, foundations, government agencies, churches, individuals, and the public.

• Assist in the developing and delivering a strategic comms plan that aligns with the overall strategic direction of Habitat Singapore.

• Together with the RD team, to identify and reach out to prospective donors, as well as build strong relationships with them through strategic and thoughtful ongoing communications.

• Working with the all-internal stakeholders, to push a strong content-first strategy and develop Habitat for Humanity Singapore’s brand image, awareness campaigns, partnerships, fundraising in accordance with charity’s goals.

• Manage all aspects of branding and social media strategies across all platforms, including developing content for newsletters and articles, and ensuring all adheres to brand guidelines.

• Manage all media queries, features and interviews (if any)

• Manage all aspects of communications and publicity for volunteering opportunities, events, and campaigns including all EDMs and collaterals.

• Responsible for the preparation of Annual Reports and being the custodian (maintenance/updates) of website and all other forms of e-media.

• Responsible for the administrative and documentation of department, and serve as a liaison between HFH Singapore, HFH AP and HFHI.

• Implement a quality assurance framework to ensure that services under his/her purview are operating in accordance to agreed-upon standards and standards from professional organisations, and public policies.

• Undertake any other duties or projects assigned by the National Director


A successful candidate would be someone who:

· Is comfortable to uphold, communicate and affirm Habitat for Humanity’s principles; Pls refer to our website (https://www.habitat.org.sg/about-us) for the details.

· Has a Degree or Post Graduate Degree in a relevant professional field from an accredited institution

· Has 3-5 years of successful experience in communications and marketing (especially digital).

· Strategic, entrepreneurial, articulate and motivated – a go getter.

· Excellent in interpersonal and communication skills, able to prepare messages for pitching to donors and prospects. A high level of written and presentation skills is advantageous.

· Leadership skills – to influence, guide and mobilize team members to achieve high standards of service delivery.

· Able to work independently and a team player with internal stakeholders.

· Ability to develop and implement a quality assurance framework that would help ensure consistent and effective service delivery standards

· A good understanding of the quality standards required of the sector

· Ability to network effectively with government agencies, churches and community partners.

· Fluent in English
