The Role
To develop a thorough understanding of Toll’s business through practical involvement in sales activities. Sharing that knowledge with Japan Post and identifying opportunities for introducing Toll’s services to Japan Post customers and potential Japanese customers.
- Representing Toll Group throughout the sales process with a focus on more complex sales opportunities or opportunities with major clients.
- Identifying new sales opportunities, particularly for current Japan Post customers, and Japanese companies. Creating and developing the sales business strategies for further growth of Toll’s business with Japan Desk sales team.
- Monitoring and managing the sales performance of Japan Desk with using KPI and/or other index. Retaining existing businesses of Japan Desk by closely managing the relationship with clients with a focus on Global Logistics in Asia.
- Analysing competitor activity. Developing a strong understanding of Toll’s business. Communicating with Japan Post to further develop broader understanding of Toll’s business and service offerings.
- Assisting management on their business decision making by carrying out day-to-day administrative activities.
- Senior functional managers of both Toll and Japan Post. Japan Post management and business development team. Global Logistics and Global Forwarding management and sales team of Toll
To be successful, you will need:
- Relevant bachelor degree or equivalent employment experience
- Native Level in Japanese (written and verbal) and good command in English (written and verbal) to communicate with stakeholders in Japan Post
- Significant experience in a technical sales environment
- Actively participate in Toll WHS Policy and Program to ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others in the workplace
- Ensure compliance with safe work practices, not to put others at risk. Use and maintain equipment properly and ensure that the work area is free of hazards
- Report all incidents, injuries and near misses. Report any hazard or accident to the OHS officer as soon as it becomes apparent
