Senior Sales Executive (Petrochemical) with Chemical Trading MNC

  • About 2 to 5 years of sales experience covering chemicals business or international trade (import/export business with understanding of LCs) gained in trading companies
  • Experience in import & export business (forwarding & trading activities) is preferred.
  • Knowledge in Rubber/PU application & Rubber/PU machine operation would be useful but this is really not a must

Our client is an international chemical trading and investment MNC backed by a blue-chip parent co which is stable and established. It is based in town (right next to a MRT station). This MNC offers flexi work arrangements (some WFH days is allowed).


For this role, you are part of the sales/ BD team and are covering the following:

  • Perform Sales and Marketing of Polyurethane chemicals & silicones in Asia Pacific within Asia Pacific.
  • Set up credit line, review and analyze financial status of customers and manage credit control in accordance with our company’s requirements
  • Coordinate with oversea offices for existing and potential customers of expanding sales.
  • Build strong relationship with suppliers.
  • Plan & strategize with suppliers to achieve company’s short term & long-term goal.
  • Monthly or weekly pricing from suppliers to customers / distributors
  • Half yearly reviews on sales budget set with suppliers / distributors
  • Prepare monthly sales result / report or as and when required
  • Establish strong relationship with customers and create synergy and maximizing business opportunity share from the customers
  • Support sale presentations to customers for new product grade
  • Managing and coordinate customer support activities, allowed by the principal, for the assigned customer base and to manage assigned personnel to maximize profit, growth and industry awareness within the boundaries set in the product marketing strategies / objectives.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance of activities in assigned area
  • Support principal in realizing sales budget for the assigned customers according to the fixed price list provided by the principal
  • Manage outstanding invoices / customers’ complaint owner
  • Provide market intelligence and share within team.
  • Manage end user relations by coordinating agent activities, technical services, marketing, distribution in area
  • Must be prepared to travel frequently on business trips (e.g. can be 1 or 2 trips per mth as a rough estimate) in Asian region. Entertainment with guests and business associates in the evening is sometimes required.

Requirements

  • Degree/Polytechnic Diploma holder in any discipline
  • About 2 to 5 years of sales experience covering chemicals business or international trade (with understanding of LCs)
  • Experience in import & export business (forwarding & trading activities) is preferred.
  • Knowledge in Rubber/PU application & Rubber/PU machine operation would be useful but this is really not a must
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Has prior experience preparing presentation slides using powerpoint.
  • Open to do some travel (can be around 1 to 2 trips per month as a rough estimate)
  • Strong team player
