JOB ROLE DESCRIPTION - SUMMARY
The incumbent, as Senior Project Manager, plays an important role in managing major transversal projects CIC Asia Pacific undertakes from time to time. He/she will see to the successful implementation of projects and be in the position to track completion milestones and resolve issues as they arise during different phases of the project.
He/She collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on the creation of project plans and identify critical paths, and oversees changes in project scope, as well as issues and risks that affect project and/or deliverables and implementation.
The Senior Project Manager possesses strong management and collaboration skills and can effectively liaise across various project sub-teams. He is able to guide and steer the project teams to successfully meet overall project objectives. He has excellent time management skills and is able to prioritise tasks. In addition, he possesses strong leadership and influencing skills to direct the projects. He adopts an analytical and strategic approach in developing and communicating solutions that meet project objectives and stakeholder needs.
Key Tasks/Main Responsibilities
Develop Project Plans
- Provide overall direction for multiple projects with different timelines across the organisation
- Gain consensus from stakeholders on project goals, objectives and deliverables
- Partner with stakeholders on creation of project plans and critical paths
- Direct appropriate resources and methodologies to various projects across the organisation
Project Management
- End-to-end management of major projects of a transversal nature, supporting the COO and senior management team
- Manage the project scope, work plans, milestones timeline and hold regular meetings to keep stakeholders and working groups apprised of progress
- Be involved in all meetings concerning the project and document key takeaways while tracking resolution of any issues that are reported
- Act as point of contact, where applicable, involving local stakeholders and representatives from Head Office and external consultants.
- Oversee project costs and closely monitor utilisation of project budget, where applicable
Project Implementation
- Oversee changes in project scope, issues and risks that affect project delivery and implementation
- Identify project risks or gaps and other issues that may impede the success of project implementation, offers solutions or develop a plan with other stakeholders
- Escalate potential issues that will affect project timelines
- Lead project presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Resolve issues encountered during project implementation in collaboration with stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master's in Finance, Business Administration or related.
- At least 8 years of experience managing end-to-end transversal project. Experience in technology or operations space is an advantage
- Proficiency in French is a must to work and foster relationship with Head Office
- Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and best practices
- Strong communicator, be in the position to engage and collaborate with others
- Strong organisational skills and have an inquisitive mind to challenge status quo
- Strong analytical skills and highly process oriented that helps connect the dots
