Responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct inspections to evaluate procedures, facilities, and equipment, identifying unsafe conditions and implementing safeguards and solutions.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote safety awareness and initiatives, encouraging individual ownership of safety practices.
- Develop and enforce company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions to mitigate identified hazards.
- Assist in investigating accidents or incidents to identify causes and develop solutions.
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and ensure compliance with legal and company guidelines.
- Conduct training sessions and presentations on safety matters and accident prevention.
- Monitor employees and operations through regular inspections to ensure compliance with policies and laws.
- Recommend solutions for safety issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose new prevention measures.
- Collaborate closely with product factories to enhance and synchronize technical safety management across different products.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Safety Specialist with in-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., WSH) and procedures is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively present and explain safety topics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites to perform job duties.
- Attention to detail and a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Good interpersonal and time management skills.
- Meticulous, organized, and resourceful team player.
- Ability to handle all matters with confidentiality, sensitivity, and knowledge.
