Team Introduction
As the Finance BP at ByteDance, and part of the Global finance team, you will be empowered to be the key contributor to ByteDance's continuing success. This role is based out of our Singapore office supporting APAC region with a focus on NEA. The new hire will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and act as a strategic partner to the content partnership, operations, and marketing functions. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and developing financial processes. You will be a key member of the finance team, working closely with other finance business partners, as well as cross-functional teams across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective business partnering and quality financial advice to support company’s business decision-making.
- Carry out the Financial Planning process of the region: develop near-term and long-term budget plans, monitor budget implementation to ensure commitments are timely met, update the budget/forecast periodically.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Collaborate closely with the business and strategy teams. Provide insightful and high-quality financial modeling, forecasting, research, and analysis to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders and senior management.
- Responsible for optimizing the practices, policies, programs and procedures of the finance function.
- Proactively managing risks and opportunities/supporting local, regional and global projects.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Execute special ad hoc projects and analyses. Collaborate with the business development team on various initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business management, or a related frield
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in content, media, or a high-growth tech company
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across various locations/timezones and global organizations
- Knowledge of US-GAAP, IFRS rules, and SOX compliance
- Experience with financial modelling and process improvement
- Prior experience with SQL is a plus
