The Media Relations Officer will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the brand's media presence and relationships. Responsibilities include:
- Media Engagement and Coverage:Proactively and reactively pitching the brand’s products for media coverage and reviews. Handling media and partner inquiries for information, assets, interviews, and affiliate support.
- Content Creation and Management:Creating, organizing, fact-checking, and copy-checking media and PR materials like articles and press releases.
- Relationship Building and Monitoring:Building and maintaining relationships with journalists and media platforms. Monitoring media to uphold the brand’s reputation, including crisis management if necessary.
- Reporting and Strategic Input:Reporting on internal and external projects, providing analysis, and making recommendations. Proposing and executing strategies to enhance the brand’s reputation and visibility.
- Business Development and Marketing Support:Contributing to business development and marketing activities to drive growth and customer acquisition. Actively participating in offline events to promote the company and increase brand awareness.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of media and journalism.
- Digital Media Expertise: Familiarity with digital media trends and tools (e.g., affiliate links, media databases).
- International Exposure: Experience in international media and PR, especially in regions like Australia, US, or UK.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and spoken English, adept at communication with tact and nuance.
- Content Management: Skills in writing, editing, and adhering to brand voice and style.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align PR efforts with business strategy and adapt to changes.

- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, or any relevant field
- Strong communication skills
- Outgoing or equipped with people skills or soft skills that will help with networking with stakeholders, journalists, and more
- Highly motivated, passionate, results-oriented
- Adaptable
- Highly organized
