Responsibilities:
The person will lead and oversee the strategic financial management for an established business. This role reports directly to the Head of the Business Group (BG) and is responsible for ensuring business continuity, continuous improvement, and growth in areas such as business control, financial planning, and budgeting. Additionally, this role involves managing a regional finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in delivering effective business and financial solutions for both tactical and strategic decisions.
- Work closely with management to drive business and financial performance improvements.
- Identify and support opportunities for continuous business operations improvement.
- Conduct budget reviews, manage performance assessments, and ensure effective monitoring.
- Evaluate capital expenditures and oversee the monitoring of return on investments.
- Coordinate strategic planning and resource allocation for the Business Unit's long-term goals.
- Develop the Group's competencies and resources in financial management.
- Oversee all operations and structures related to financial and business control.
- Analyze, coordinate, and report business and financial performance to Management, including financial projections and special projects.
- Prepare both short-term and long-term financial forecasts.
- Develop and implement accounting and administrative policies and procedures for various activities, including reporting and corporate policies.
- Build, lead, and strengthen the finance team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting from a mainstream university preferred.
- A CPA/Masters would be preferred
- Minimum 10 years' strategic financial management experience gained from a corporate/MNC environment with a significant manufacturing asset/s base
- Proven strong managerial and leadership qualities
- Business Partnering skills and a good team player
- Operationally in tune with the business with a keen eye for analysis and details
- Possess business acumen and strong commercial sense
- Driven, sharp, results orientated with strong understanding of business operations and key drivers
