Purpose and Scope

Responsible for inventory movement including goods received, goods issued and return as per delivery order, and material request/ return instructions, you will work closely with the Maintenance team and 3rd party warehouse to facilitate warehouse activities.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with engineers for consolidation of orders for 3rd party warehouse
  • Work with Maintenance and 3rd party warehouse to retrieve spares
  • Receive and if required, unload stocks item to maintenance workshop from transport vehicle or delivered to warehouse
  • Store and organize items in multi-tier shelves
  • Update inventory movement with the correct transaction codes in our computerized warehouse management system (SAP MM module)
  • Perform cycle-count activities and annual stock take activities buy tallying material in the warehouse and maintenance workshop against list of material maitained in our SAP database
  • Create New Material ID as and when required
  • Handle all paperwork for scrap disposal
  • Coordinate on site for loading of Open Top Container (OTC) onto Lorry to dispose the scraps and unloading of empty OTC on site for O&M team to dispose future scraps
  • Observe and enforce all warehouse processes and HSSE policies and procedures
  • Monitor and ensure only authorized personnel accessing the maintenance workshop
  • Perform parts preservation for spares as per method statement prepared by maintenance team
  • Monitor and reorder consumables items to prevent stock-out
  • Perform tagging to ensure Stocks can be easily identified
  • Prepare report on discrepancies of cycle-count to seek approval from manager

Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • Candidate must possess a minimum standard of IT literacy to update goods movement transactions in SAP as well as to trace and search for stocks in the system
  • Candidate must be willing to work outside normal working due to work exigencies to support urgent spares withdrawal during major shut-down activities of our plant and equipment
  • Minimum 3 years of related working experience
  • Possess a Class 3 driving and Forklift license
  • Related industry experience with Certificate in Logistics Operations, Logistics Management or equivalent
  • Candidate must be alert and aware of the physical hazards and obstructions in the maintenance workshop / plant and wear proper PPE, as prescribed
  • Candidate must be competent to be trained to operate all material handling equipment inclusive of Fork-lift etc
  • Candidate is required to retrieve items up to 10kg from shelves accessible by stairs and carry stocks up to 10kg and perform preservation works on equipment such as rotating the motor shaft, strapping and palletized the stock item
  • Candidate must be able to perform physical works full-time during normal working hours
