DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- General driving duties - Car, van, Lorry/Truck or Buses
- The safety of passengers is the prime responsibility of all drivers.
- Greet passengers and engage them in conversation in a bid to make them feel welcomed.
- Operate vehicles in accordance with all Singapore traffic laws and regulations, applicable US Navy/Air Force instructions/directives and applicable installation instruction/directives.
- At the beginning and end of the shift inspect the vehicle to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
- Complete the daily driver’s checklist prior to operating the vehicles.
- Initiate work requests/service orders for the correction of any deficiencies identified.
- Ensure assigned vehicle is clean inside/outside and ready at the designated pick-up location and time each day/shift.
- Refuel assigned vehicle as needed.
- Wash assigned vehicle(s) each day.
- Drive shuttle bus on predefined route.
- Complete passenger log at the end of each day and submit to Transportation admin.
- Ensure that memory cards for the on-board dashcams are installed at the beginning of each duty day; ensure dashcams are enabled and in recording mode. Recover the memory cards at the end of the duty day; turn in to Transportation admin for data download/archive.
- Turn in lost/found items to CENTERRA Transportation office and keep a lookout for suspicious activities in the van and designated pick-up/drop off locations. Report suspicious activities to management/IAPF.
- Work hours/day’s may be outside of “normal work hours” OT (overtime) may be required. OT will be compensated in accordance with Centerra and SG MOM requirements/regulations.
- Drive Shuttle van, Sedan, Baggage Truck or other Class 3 vehicle to transport passengers/luggage/materials to/from assigned locations.
- Drive Lorry trucks (approx. 10 ton) as required. Wash, clean and refuel vehicle as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Clean driving record with valid Singapore Driving License for vehicle assigned
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING
- Minimum class 4 Singapore Driving License / Vocational License
- Good Understanding, written and spoken English
EDUCATION:
- Minimum High School education
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years of Clean Driving Records
- Minimum 2 years of Lorry (approx. 10 ton) Truck driving experience
